2021 Meeting Dates
December 15, 2021 - Thank you to Mary Ann Caruana, Mount Sinai Manhattan and Marie Moss and Jordan Ehni, Mount Sinai-Beth Israel, on IP in Mental Health Unit Settings. We really appreciated not only your presentations but the extensive group discussion it generated. Thank you, Kyle Willey, too, for leading our CIC review session once again!
November 17, 2021 - We say a big thank you to Dr. Waleed Javaid, Mount Sinai Hospital Epidemiologist and Director of Infection Prevention & Control Department, who gave a great presentation on Disappearing Influenza and Pandemic Lessons. Thank you, too, to Kyle Willey for leading the excellent CIC Exam review session. We hope everyone really benefited from the presentations.

March 17, 2021 - We say a special Thank You to Dan Eiras MD MPH, Medical Director and Emily Walits, MPH CIC, both with the NYCDOHMH Congregate Settings Investigation and Response Unit. Thank you Dr. Eiras for your presentation on Infection Control in Congregate Residential Settings and thank you to our board member Emily Walits for your presentation on the CDC's Project Firstline.
February 17, 2021 - meeting postponed to March 17, 2021.
January 20, 2021 - was held online. We offer a big thank you to both Dr. Robert Holland MD MHA, Chief Medical Officer, McKinney Post Acute Care Facility Brooklyn, who shared his wonderful success story about his NYCHHC's LTC response to the Covid-19 pandemic and to Dr. Sarah Schaefer MD, Associate Hospital Epidemiologist, Mount Sinai Hospital who taught us a lot about Covid-19 vaccines and how to manage vaccine hesitancy. Than you, too, to Steve Bock from NYU Langone Health who presented Kyle Willey's CIC review session. Thank you Kyle, too, for preparing the content for our CIC exam review session!
