December 20, 2017 - Chapter leadership election results were announced, Barbara Smith was recognized as one of our two Infection Control Champions (Steve Bock is our other champion but was not able to attend the meeting), and we held our annual holiday party. We also recognized past leaders from the chapter, especially those who served as past presidents.

October 18, 2017 - We held our day-long conference "The Evolving Landscape of Infection Prevention" at the LaGuardia Marriott. October 28, 2016 -- Our chapter held its bi-annual Long Term Care Infection Prevention & Control Conference Infection Prevention: Moving Up in Long Term Care. September 19, 2012 - Topic: Chapter member Larry Colbert from Bellevue Hospital Center presented highlights from the National APIC Conference held in June in Dallas TX. His presentation was followed by a talk by Dr. Diane Nilsen from the NYCDOHMH on Hospital Discharge of TB Patients: Collaborating with the Health Department. March 21, 2012 - No More White Gloves - Monitoring Cleaning was presented by Mario Perella of 3M. He shared great info about the latest technologies in validating environmental cleaning and disinfection in a healthcare setting.
February 15, 2012 - At our February meeting, chapter members Elsa Santos-Cruz BS CIC and Adebisi Adeyeye RN MPH CIC shared important updates from recent NHSN training they received in Atlanta.
January 18, 2012 - We had three poster and oral presentations from the 2011 National APIC & SHEA conferences featuring our chapter members: Larry Colbert BA MA CIC - Norovirus Outbreak Angela Gabasan RN MSN CIC - SSIs after Colon Surgery and Kate Gase MPH CIC - The State of C. difficile in NYS - where she reviewed three separate posters (one, two, three).
