APIC Greater New York Chapter 13 is the proud recipient of the APIC National 2010 Chapter Excellence Award for Education, Communication, and Information Resources.
The Chapter Excellence Award (comprising of six awards) recognizes and rewards chapters that support APIC's mission by advancing the goals of the organization's strategic plan. The Chapter Excellence Award for Education, Communication, and Information Resources is given to the chapter that best demonstrates excellence in developing, promoting and providing meaningful, accessible, and affordable educational products and services, and other information resources for infection prevention and control professionals, healthcare workers, and the general public.

* Barbara Winter, RN, MSA, CIC as one of ten recipients of the APIC 2010 Chapter Leadership Award.
This 2010 Chapter Leadership Award provides the opportunity for chapters to recognize one of their members at the 2010 APIC Annual Conference in New Orleans, LA. The Nominating and Awards committee suggest that the leader be an APIC member for at least 2 years, served as an officer, serves as a mentor, and participates in community activities.
* Dr. Brian Koll, MD, FACP as one of thirteen recipients of the 2010 Heroes of Infection Prevention Award.
The Heroes of InfectionPrevention Award recognizes APIC members and groups who have worked tirelessly to reduce infection, raise awareness, and improve the health and well-being of patients, healthcare workers and the public.
